The WEE Learn Curriculum, published by LifeWay, is the primary curriculum for our 3K and 4K classrooms. The WEE Learn Curriculum is Christ-centered and age appropriate. It is endorsed as one of the top faith based school readiness curriculums. Our Kindergarten class uses Positive Action Bible Curriculum, Scholastic Literacy Place, and Everyday Mathematics. Biblical truths are taught throughout every subject area. Every class will also use the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum as a supplement.
In addition to our core curriculum, we also have two rotation classes for our students. Each day, students will have a 25 minute rotation class. We offer a “Music and Movement” class as well as a “Techno Time” class. During “Music and Movement”, students are active in their learning of new songs and Biblical truths. “Techno Time” allows students to work on laptop computers and LeapFrog PLTs to gain prereading skills.
Every classroom teacher is a qualified professional with a strong Christian background. Each teacher is required to be a born again Christian, have the ability to teach God's word and be an example of His love to each student. First Baptist School of Wylie is under the leadership and guidance of the director, the school board and the church.
